Both the museum building and the Viking ship burial mound are disability-friendly with ramps and without doorsteps. The museum building also has a lift.
The route from the car park in front of the museum building to the museum building itself, and the route from the latter to the mound can be a challenge because of the gravel and the dirt path, which, it goes without saying, is not 100% flat.
In the basement of the museum building there is a toilet, which is suitable for people with disabilities. The basement is easily accessible with the lift.
Guests with disabilities can also bring a companion free of charge if he/she is in possession of a companion card. Guide dogs are also welcome.
The museum has a wheelchair that can be borrowed.
