The summer holidays are packed with Viking life and fun experiences – and you can join in. From Monday to Friday during the summer holidays, you can meet the Vikings and take part in Viking activities when you visit the museum.
Meet the Vikings at the workshops, try your hand at the weapons and crafts of the past, and learn more about the world of the Ladby King.
You can also explore the museum’s many opportunities for play and dressing up on your own. Visit the burial mound and explore the exhibitions with the Treasure Hunt.

Price: 25 DKK per acitivity. Buy a Viking coin in the museum shop and use it to pay at the activities.

Viking for a Day
– A bag full of experiences
With Viking for a Day, the whole family can experience the world of the Vikings first-hand when you visit the Viking Museum Ladby. At the museum’s ticket sale you can rent an activity bag so you can explore the Viking world together.
Treasure hunt for children
The Viking king of Ladby was a very rich man. He was buried in his ship 1100 years ago along with many treasures. But which is the King of Ladby’s greatest treasure?
Find 12 of the Viking king’s valuable grave goods at the museum. Hand in your answer sheet at the museum shop to enter the exiting prize draw.
