The Ladby King sets all sails again

May 2, 2023

On Saturday 13 May 2023, the season at the Viking Museum Ladby kicks off with an open house at the museum.

The Viking Museum opens its doors to an eventful day with lots of activities and life at the museum.

The many volunteers will be ready with good stories, and throughout the day they will present their projects and demonstrate the beautiful craftsmanship they work with at the museum.

The whole family can take part in Viking activities such as archery and flatbread baking, and you can visit the clay workshop.

At 2 PM, the Viking ship The Ladby Dragon is launched – an exact copy of the warship in which the Ladby King was buried 1,100 years ago.

Throughout the day, there will be free entrance to the museum, and visitors can therefore explore the burial mound, the exhibitions, and the landscape completely free of charge.
